CAPACITY DEVELOPMENT AND ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT

We empower individuals, groups, organizations and societies  through education, training activities,awareness‐raising activities, intercultural exposure, networking and engagement in social change movements. We help business, government, civil society organizations and individuals to optimize their work and to develop, implement and sustain their own solutions to problems in a way that helps them shape and exercise control over their social, economic and cultural environments.

We focus on building the following skills:

YOUTH

Desert Bloom is committed to empowering young women and men to work together to drive social innovation and positive change, participate fully in the development of their societies, eradicate poverty and inequality, and foster a culture of peace. Desert Bloom is striving to strengthen the role of youth in society through the development of young people knowledge and skills and by promoting the concept of belonging and citizenship among young people to engage in social and voluntary work.

 

VOLUNTARY WORK & HUMANITARIAN ASSISTANCE

Desert Bloom conducts projects to alleviate poverty, save lives, relieve suffering and maintain human dignity during and after crises and disasters. Projects are designed to strengthen the resilience of people who barely have resources and struggle to survive, such as food and non-food items distributions including blankets, school bags and stationery and household appliances. 



INTERCULTURAL DIALOGUE & CULTURE OF PEACE

Desert Bloom is committed to building bridges between people of different cultures and backgrounds. Also, it educates the wider world about contemporary and controversial issues in the Middle East.

Desert Bloom contributes to world peace by promoting intercultural understanding and interfaith dialogue. Desert Bloom advocates for integrating culture of peace in law and policy making processes to ensure inclusion of marginalized groups.

Desert Bloom uses formal and non-formal education as platforms to foster peace culture and inclusion. It offers alternative narrative to young people so as to counter narratives on extremism, hate speech, ethnic tensions, xenophobia etc.
